On 5 December 2012, the Government announced its proposed changes to the taxation of pension savings due to be introduced from April 2014.

Have you opted out of the NHS pension scheme?

New rules on auto-enrolling employees into the NHS pension scheme came into effect from October 2012.  If you have opted out of the NHS scheme to keep fixed protection for pension savings, you will have one month from the enrolment date to opt out of the scheme to maintain your fixed protection.
