Preparing for the 2015 NHS pension scheme

On 1 April 2015 a new NHS pension scheme will be introduced. 

From that date approximately 75% of existing NHS employees and all new employees will join the new 2015 NHS pension scheme (2015 NHSPS).

Have you opted out of the NHS pension scheme?

New rules on auto-enrolling employees into the NHS pension scheme came into effect from October 2012.  If you have opted out of the NHS scheme to keep fixed protection for pension savings, you will have one month from the enrolment date to opt out of the scheme to maintain your fixed protection.
