Our relationship

Find out about our relationship with Sandison Easson

The BMA offers support on a wide variety of financial issues for doctors including tax, provided by our expert staff, in addition to our lobbying activity on related government policies. This support includes guidance and tools on our website and information provided by our specialist teams.

As the BMA is not regulated to provide tax advice, we have a partnership with Sandison Easson, which specialises in tax and accountancy advice to the medical profession.

We encourage our members to seek independent advice to ensure they are fully informed before making any decisions on their finances, but BMA members are under no obligation to use the services of Sandison Easson. Members need to be sure the services provided by Sandison Easson, or any other accountant, meet their specific needs.

As part of our agreement, BMA members receive a complimentary initial consultation with Sandison Easson before taking up their services, for which there is no charge.

The BMA receives a percentage of any paid for advice that members receive from Sandison Easson. This does not impact on the charges set by Sandison Easson, and all income received from the BMA is reinvested into our member services.
